Product Overview

The KEW 8161 is an AC clamp-type current sensor (clamp adaptor) designed to convert AC current into a proportional voltage that can be measured using a digital multimeter or other compatible measuring devices. Instead of interrupting a circuit or breaking the conductor, a conductor (wire) is simply clamped inside the sensor’s jaws — making it a non-intrusive and safe method to measure current. The clamp accommodates conductors up to about 24 mm diameter.
